Visit from Finland
Our Student Council is showing the Finnish students around Roskilde city.
A group of excited students from Finland visited us for a week and attended classes at HF and VUC Roskilde-Køge. They were given a tour of Roskilde city by our very active Student Council.
Angela Nielsen, vice-chairman of the student council, talks about the Finnish visit:
"We showed the Finns around in Roskilde and taught them a little about Roskilde's history and about youth life in the city. Among other things, we talked about Vikings, political history as well as the history of various buildings such as the Cathedral, the gasworks, the Yellow Palace, even the old Town Council Hall and much more. We were in Folkeparken (Public Park), where we talked about the annual puttefest (Freshers’ Party), as it is something many young students go to. Finally, we went back to school to play board games, since we had a visit from Maja and her sister, who runs the board game café, "Our place."
The Finnish students created a website and logbook about their visit to Denmark.
